Lori Ashmore Peters was admitted to practice law in Texas in 1996. She has spent her career focusing on estate planning and trusts, probate, business planning, ancillary probate, and guardianships. Lori is certified to serve as both Attorney Ad Litem and Guardian Ad Litem in Texas probate courts and has served in those roles on numerous court-appointed cases. She also works with litigation firms as a probate consultant, offering strategic insight into probate and estate planning matters connected to ongoing lawsuits.
Throughout her career, Lori has represented clients in preparing estate plans that protect children, secure assets, and address tax concerns. She has guided families through the probate process and helped administer complex estates. Lori is a frequent speaker at legal seminars and community events, presenting on probate, estate planning, guardianship, and end-of-life issues. Her legal expertise has been featured on KLIF 820 AM and in multiple publications including Senior Living and The Elite News. She is also the author of books and blogs on estate planning and the probate process.
Lori earned her law degree from Texas Wesleyan University in 1996 and her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in 1991. She is admitted to practice in Texas, the United States Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. She is an active member of several professional organizations including the State Bar of Texas, Dallas County Bar Association, Dallas Estate Planning Council, and Dallas Women Lawyers Association. Her previous and current community involvement includes service with the Friends of Reverchon, the Maurine F. Bailey Cultural Foundation, and the Junior League of Dallas. Lori has been honored as a Super Lawyer from 2012 to 2025 and received the Elite News Women of Excellence Award.
