Having worked in financial services litigation since the outset of home equity lending in the state of Texas, Garth is uniquely qualified to serve the financial services industry. He understands his clients’ needs and is able to resolve matters effectively and efficiently. Garth represents clients in state and federal court cases involving various types of claims, including mortgage lending practices, fraud, breach of contract, fair debt collection practices, products liability, mortgage banking and servicing, negligence, deceptive trade practices, asset recovery, and other commercial disputes.
In his spare time, Garth enjoys coaching youth sports, spending time with his family, traveling, and playing sports.
J. Garth Fennegan originally decided to go to law school in order to prepare for a career in real estate working with his brother, a developer. Once he began practicing law, however, he enjoyed it so much he never left. Garth is a member of SettlePou’s Commercial Litigation and Financial Services Litigation practices and has been working as an attorney for more than 20 years.
