David W. Klaudt represents corporations and individuals in complex civil and criminal cases and investigations. He is experienced in virtually all areas of litigation, focusing on securities class actions and derivative actions, mergers and acquisitions litigation, trade secret litigation, SEC enforcement, asset forfeiture, health care fraud and abuse, False Claims Act investigations and litigation, and government contract law. In addition, he is a member of the Northern District of Texas Criminal Justice Act panel.
Dave advises clients in virtually all areas of government contract law, including formation, administration, and litigation. He represents clients in the Court of Federal Claims, Government Accountability Office, and numerous boards of contract appeals and administrative proceedings.
Prior to entering private practice, Dave served as an Air Force officer, first as a contracting officer and later as a judge advocate. In these roles, he negotiated and administered contracts in addition to providing legal advice on the formation of contracts and proposals and litigating bid protests and contract disputes. He was appointed a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas and was later assigned to the Department of Justice's Commercial Litigation Branch.
