Baltasar D. Cruz is a highly experienced litigator who has practiced law in Texas for 34 years. A graduate of Harvard College and the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Mr. Cruz combines an elite educational background with practical, first-chair trial experience. His career includes tenure at prestigious firms such as Susman Godfrey L.L.P. and Kern and Wooley L.L.P., as well as extensive experience running a successful solo practice.
Mr. Cruz’s practice is diverse, encompassing both plaintiff and defense work in commercial litigation through trials and appeals. Additionally, he frequently serves as a guardian ad litem for minors in personal injury cases.
Beyond his courtroom advocacy, Mr. Cruz has a strong history of civic engagement and commitment to the judiciary. He was a candidate for the Texas Supreme Court in 2008, where he received nearly 900,000 votes, and has stood for election for Judge of two District Courts and one County Court in Dallas County. He is also fully fluent in written and spoken Spanish, is an Eagle Scout and played football at Harvard for four years.
