Hired Attorney

AUSTIN WYKER IS AN UNETHICAL LAWYER WHO PADDED HIS BILL AND LIED. I hired Austin, who is a partner at Greenberg Traurig, to handle our real estate joint venture. His firm’s website states that he has a Master of Laws in taxation and regularly represents real estate joint ventures. I phoned Austin, asked him if I could buy out my partner who needs the money, and we spoke for a few minutes. He said, “let me do some research on this.” When his bill arrived, I was livid. He charged $200 for that five-minute phone call and $3,200 for research. I looked at the joint venture agreement and found the answer in less than five-minutes! When I asked the firm about this, the senior partner told me, “Austin said that he spent time researching your issue.” I asked for copies of the research, but they will not send me anything. I was taken advantage of, Austin lied to me and the senior partner, and he padded his bill. He should not be listed in “The Best Lawyers in America” for these reasons.
