Alissa Castro is an enthusiastic young attorney who has experience in a wide variety of legal venues.
A 2013 graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law, she helped indigent family law clients finalize divorces at the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program during the first half of 2014. She also interviewed clients and prepared files to assist foreign citizens with immigration problems at Catholic Charities of Dallas.
Before that, she served as a judicial intern in a Dallas County Family Law Court and worked in the Family Justice Division – Family Violence Section of the Travis County District Attorney’s office. In law school, Alissa served as a member of the trial advocacy board and distinguished herself in trial advocacy competitions.
She won the University of Mississippi Outstanding Student Award in Fall 2012, participated in the Pro Bono Initiative in conjunction with the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyer Project and served in the Guardian Ad Litem Clinic.
Alissa earned a bachelor of science degree in human communication (cum laude) from Arizona State University in Tempe. She grew up in Southern Arizona.
