If the elements exist for a malicious prosecution, you can sue. Most of the time, this sort of case will not be taken on a contingency fee basis, and it is very difficult to find an attorney who will do this type of case, even for a large retainer.

You might be able to appeal if there was reversible error. You will need a complete transcript of the tiral, and will have to consult with an appellate attorney.
