If you received deferred adjudication probation, and if you successfully complete it, you can petition judge for Order of Non-Disclosure. If granted, the case is sealed from private enterprise, but not law enforcement, state licensing agencies, and a few other exceptions.

What if my daughter did not report a drug use incident she witnessed?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
No! What law requires someone to be a snitch?! No Texas law on that. But is she bound under the student code of conduct or something like that? Then the school can take action. But no citizen has a duty to report a crime. No possible criminal charges ever.

What kind of punishment should I expect for a Misdemenor 2 first offence solicitation of prostitution?

The advice yo were given is the standard result. You are elligable for a deferred probation and the liklihood of receiving this sentence depends on the district attorney and the judge. Each county has different rules regarding plea offers. You are able in some situations to ask the judge for punishment if the district attorney is not reasonable.
