Is it possible to write a letter to the judges involved to have them consider dropping my warrants?

It's improper to write letters to the judge. You can file them with the clerk, with a copy to the state attorney, and then ask for a hearing.

What should I do if a child is being abused in a daycare facility?

Leonard D. Harden
Answered by attorney Leonard D. Harden (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Harden Law Office
If you believe abuse is occurring you are obligated to report to DCYF. It is a misdemeanor if you fail to report. I don't believe you need a lawyer unless you are seeking to sue day care on behalf of your child, then it would be a personal injury lawyer.

My attorney has refused to provide my son's information on the case that has been settled even though I have duo power of attorney.

Answered by attorney Mark Tischhauser
Criminal Law lawyer at Tischhauser Law Group
It depends in large part upon the details of your "power or attorney". I have never heard of nor am I familiar with a "duo" power of attorney. Did you mean "durable"? One the biggest issues with "powers of attorney" is that they are rarely properly created or used for the purposes they are designed. From the response you noted it sounds like the lawyer is indicating there is some defect in the document. In the alternative, while powers of attorney can be used for certain decisions or actions, the lawyer may simply be protecting your son's attorney client privilege and specifically wants to have a document showing he intends to waive same, as once it is waived....its waived forever.
