Do I have the chance to get that money back I paid?

Answered by attorney Lawrence Thomas Lewis (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Lawrence Lewis, P.C.
Paid to whom? The bondsman? If you paid the entire bond in cash, you get your money back. If you paid 12% to the bondsman to get her out of jail, once she is out the bondsman has earned his money. You are not getting any money back from the bondsman.

Is it legal for an 18 year old to have sex with a 16 year old?

As long as you did not commence the sexual activity before you were 16 you should be aware that, in Michigan, the age of consent is 16 or older and therefore such activities would not be chargeable as statutory rape, regardless of the fact they are very unwise.

Is it fair to assume that Woman #1 can/may be arrested, may be charged, may be the one to bear the burden of the fact Woman #2 had the drugs?

There is little question that the actions of woman number two could potentially cause charges to be brought and therefore defense costs incurred by woman number one, although it would seem unlikely under the circumstances given that a conviction could be sustained against woman number one. Regarding the fact that there were minor children in the car, I assume the children of woman number two, it is certainly possible that if she is taken away and incarcerated at the children would be subject to being placed with relatives or through social services.
