Can Texas DPS wait as long as they want to suspend your license after a conviction or do they have a time frame?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
It's usually suspended immediately at the conviction and then may take 7-10 days to register on the computer. Sounds like you may have another issue with surcharges or such.

What can I do if my edit card was stolen out of my purse by a co-worker?

Cynthia Russell Henley

What could be different? She has an active warrant and will be prosecuted for at least 1 felony (if not for each time she used the card.) When the police find her, she will be arrested and put in jail and caused to go to court and face criminal charges. No one is refusing to file charges or pursue the case. They just will not spend a lot of time search for her because she did not commit a violent crime and sooner or later, she will come in contact with police and be arrested.

What steps can my girl friend take to remove a domestic violence warrant against me that was made while we were drunk?

You can try and get her to call the DA, but most likely this will not work and you will have to hire an attorney.
