Will I go to jail for theft if I have a prior from 12 years ago?

Answered by attorney Jared Christian Winter (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Office of Jared C. Winter
Probably not, but it depends on many factors. How strong is the evidence? What county are you in? Who's your DA? Who's your judge? These are the kind of things that can assist an attorney in giving you a more educated guess as to how much time you'll be offered.

What is a DA reject?

Answered by attorney Francis John Cowhig (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Francis John Cowhig
A D.A. reject means that the D.A., for whatever reason, has decided not to file charges against you. The case can be sent back to the police for additional investigation or it could be dropped completely. There is no way of knowing the reasons or whether or not charges will be filed in the future.
