What should I do if there was a warrant issued for failure to appear?

Answered by attorney Terry Alan Nelson (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Nelson & Lawless
For you to handle a warrant, you must turn yourself into the court, with or without an attorney, and try to negotiate a recall of the warrant and a plea bargain on the Failure to Appear charge. Doing so voluntarily will result in a better outcome than being brought in cuffs to court after arrest on the warrant. In your case, if you have actually complied with the court orders and sentencing, then you should get off with a modest fine for the warrant. If serious about hiring counsel to help you in this, and if this is in SoCal courts, feel free to contact me.

How do I approach Felony charge 11359 and 11360?

Answered by attorney Todd Alan Landgren (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Todd A. Landgren A Professional Law Corporation
Hash is treated differently than bud (more serious) and having a card does not eliminate the possession for sale. You could be looking at substantial jail. If poor, ask for public defender. These charges are serious even in these liberal times!

Does my daughter have a chance to feel safe again?

Answered by attorney Francis John Cowhig (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Francis John Cowhig
Please accept my sympathies for what happened to your daughter. Unfortunately, I cannot predict the future and have very little information with which to give you an accurate answer. It will be up to the D.A. to decide how far they can go with the prosecution of your nephew.
