Since marijuana is decriminalized does that mean the same for people who are on probation?

You are just begging for trouble. If you were NOT on probation, being caught with under an ounce is no longer a misdemeanor and is just a $100 fine. But if you are caught with a scale as well you will be charged with "possession for sale" and you will have a big problem. BUT since you are on probation if you had one joint on you they can, and most likely will, revoke your probation and they will give you whatever time is hanging over your head. Now if you have a medical marijuana recommendation that is a different story. It varies from county to county, but most probation departments do not check for MJ IF you have your recommendation on file with them so they would most likely NOT revoke you if caught with under and ounce but they sure as hell with revoke you if you have the scale with you. But if you have under an ounce why do you need a scale? Are you going to divide up that ounce for sale? The really makes no sense. Anyhow if you do have a recommendation check with your PO to see how that county feels. Sometimes you need to go back to the Judge to get an order allowing you to possess MJ and for that you should go back to the attorney or public defender who handled the case originally.

What will happen if I got in an accident without car insurance and on a suspended license?

Answered by attorney Paul J. Wallin
Criminal Law lawyer at Wallin & Klarich, A Law Corporation
Of course you need to consult with an experienced criminal defense attorney in their office so they can help you avoid jail time. There are many alternatives to jail time that criminal defense lawyers who go to the court where your case is pending will know about. While the DA likely will request some jail time for your two different offenses, that doesn't mean you will receive a jail sentence. If you are close to giving birth, then you need to provide your lawyer that information. The problem is it seems that there are warrants out for your arrest and your lawyer must go to court and ask the judge to recall the warrants and ask you be released without bail.

Is it illegal to own a fake ID?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Stephen Lewis Freeborn (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Freeborn Law Offices P.S.
It's not illegal to possess a fake ID. What is illegal is using it in a deceptive manner. Why else would you have a fake ID if you were not planning to do something illegal?? From your question, it is clear to me that that is exactly how you plan to use it. I am not going to give you advice on how to break the law. My advice, get rid of it... or be prepared to deal with the consequences that result from its illegal use.
