My friend is in prison he has warrants on other cases he wants to clear these up how should he go about it

He could hire a criminal defense attorney to contact the courts he has warrants out of. The court can issue a bring down order and have you produced and deal with the issues. He could contact the local prosecutor and tell the prosecutor where he is, and nothing else. He should keep a copy of the letter and perhaps could make a speedy trial motion to dismiss if they ignore it. He could also contact the court by letter and keep a copy for the same reason.

If the defendant is not yet convicted then all the judge can do is increase the bail which could be a problem.

How do I get a copy of the grand jury minutes?

You are entitled to your grand jury testimony. You only get the other witnesses' testimony if they testify at a hearing or trial or unless the Judge releases them to assist in making a motion to dismiss, which they rarely do. You are not automatically entitled to them. Discuss this with your lawyer.
