What are the chances of a prosecutor not pursuing the case?

Answered by attorney John F Brennan (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Musilli Brennan Associates, PLLC
It is discretionary and up to the prosecutor. The police do not like to be called, intervene and then have the persons reconcile and not bring charges. You should contract an attorney and NOT speak with either the police or any other person from the authorities. They are not your friends.

Well it wouldnt be on you, only your dad. Unless there is a domestic violence case, I don't think there would be any bar to you seeing him.
