Is there a duration to pay off the fines for probation?

Jared Clayton Austin
Answered by attorney Jared Clayton Austin (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Austin Legal Services, PLC
Normally you have to have all fines and costs paid off by the end of your probationary period. They have the option of successfully discharging you from probation and seeking collection against you for the remaining fines and costs. Ultimately, it will be up to your PO on whether or not to violate you for not paying and up to the judge in terms of what sentence to hand down for not paying your fines. It is my experience that most judges will be a little more graceful if you are paying something or making an effort as opposed to paying nothing.

Could I get my charges thrown out?

Answered by attorney John F Brennan (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Musilli Brennan Associates, PLLC
You will need to see an attorney with the details, as you have not specified what the "judicial charge" is for. If it was illegal drinking of intoxication it is not a necessity there was a chemical test as such can be established by observation and witnesses statements, and your admissions as well.

Can I press charges against my soon to be ex husband for theft of my narcotics Oxycontin and Roxycodones with proof?

Answered by attorney Nathaniel D Shafer
Criminal Law lawyer at Natty Shafer Law
If you have a prescription for those drugs, then yes you can. If you do not, then it will be hard to press charges without getting arrested yourself.
