HOW TO SEAL MY RECORD

Evan H Nass
Answered by attorney Evan H Nass (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Nass & Roper Law, LLP
This is not a question.  I'm not even sure its a complete sentence.  Nevertheless, if you are interested in sealing your record, you have to request the record be sealed at the time of the disposition of the case. If it wasn't dismissed or ACD, it will never be sealed. If it was dismissed it is typically sealed along with the dismissal. If it wasn't, and you would like it to be sealed, it is possible that you can go back to the court, ask to have the case reopened, make an appearance and ask the judge to seal the record. You can try that, but there is almost a 0% chance of that actually happening. But, certainly worth a shot if you have nothing else to do.  Best of luck, Evan H. Nass, Esq.

Can the owner of a household be penalized if a resident has drugs?

Leonard D. Harden
Answered by attorney Leonard D. Harden (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Harden Law Office
The police can charge you if you are aware and or assisted the person In using drugs. All crimes require an intent and if you are unaware the resident has the drugs or it is impossible for police to prove you knew the drugs were present, then you should have a good defense. It is unlikely that the police will charge other members of the household. If you have other questions do not hesitate to contact me. The details can often determine the outcome and whether someone will be charged.

Can I have my grandmother's husband arrested for abuse?

Answered by attorney Warren S. Hecht

Your mother should consider going into to court to commence an Article 81 proceeding declaring your grandmother  incapacitated and ordering that you mother  be appointed the  guardian of your grandmother's  person and property
