Should I plead guilty if it was my friend, who was caught stealing and I was just with her?

Answered by attorney Nathaniel D Shafer
Criminal Law lawyer at Natty Shafer Law
Not sure why you would want to plead guilty, unless there is more evidence you didn't mention. A prosecutor has to prove in court that you are guilty, and if the prosecutor doesn't have a very good case, there is no reason to make their job easier. It may be in your best interest to hire a lawyer to help you.

I am on probation.....I need to know if an officer can violate me if I can not make it to my appointment due to transportation issues? They are aware of my situation. I have no vehicle and I have a 2 year old that I am not allowed to bring with me, no babysitter. My dad had complications with his knee surgery today so I had to reschedule for Friday. That is when my mother is able to bring me and when she can watch my daughter. My officer told me I had to be there tomorrow but I have no ride til Friday and no one to watch my daughter, and I can't bring her with me if I rode the bus. I don't know what to do cause my mom is staying with my dad at the hospital, he had heart complications with the anestegia.

The short answer is yes.  You really need to call your attorney and see if he or she can get this in front of the Judge and avoid the violation. you may have  a defense to present to the Judge after you are violated, but by then you may be in jail.

They have to pay about %340 to file a civil suit against you. Most attorneys will tell you not to pay this civil demand.
