Can I apply for my citizenship in Texas without a layer following deferred adjudication?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
You can only seal it with a Petition for Non-Disclosure. Get that done asap. And then speak with an immigration attorney in your area about applying for citizenship. You may have some problems depending on your unique circumstances, so best to consult a professional.

He needs a lawyer representing him. The police must have reported that you said that he touched you in some manner that caused pain because that is what is required for a class A family violence assault charge.
