Will I have to go to jail for criminal mischief and resisting arrest, as a minor?

How does a 17 year old get arrested for breaking his room door? In your parents house? It's very confusing. Max time is 2 years. Likely you'll be looking at far less than that depending upon your history (which can't be extensive given your age). Every case is unique. If you were on bad terms with your folks you might want to undo that and hope they'll pay for your attorney? I wouldn't be concerned about a resisting arrest charge if all you did was not put your hands behind your back.

You question was cut off. It appears that you were asking if you could be charged. The answer is quite possibly, if you were with this person and knew what the person was doing and benefitted from the items he acquired..

Most likely, since she has a prior conviction for shoplifting, an attorney can negotiate a plea bargain with the prosecutor so that your friend gets an SIS (suspended imposition of sentence) and probation. It all depends on which court this is being prosecuted in. Some courts require 2 days in jail for shoplifting, even if it's a first offense. With an SIS, there is no conviction if she successfully completes the probation period without any more shoplifting offenses. She should check and see if she has been banned from entering Walmart in the future. If she has been banned, then she should not return to Walmart, or else she risks being charged with trespassing. It could be a complete ban forever, from all Walmart stores, or it might just be a ban from that particular Walmart store where she was caught shoplifting.
