Since the application asks, if you've ever been convicted of any crimes within the past 10 years." You can simply say no as long as you were not in fact convicted of any crime. No explanation is required.

If you made a $ 50,000 bond, then you do not qualify for a public defender. So, you can retain an attorney, or represent yourself.

What are the laws regarding sex offender residency restrictions?

Cynthia Russell Henley
Answered by attorney Cynthia Russell Henley (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Cynthia Henley
There are no residency restrictions on registering sex offender who is not "on paper" - parole or probation. All of the rules governing your husband terminated with his probation EXCEPT registration. I do not see why you would have trouble buying a home - that is between you and the lending company. As for the HOAs, they may not like having a sex offender in their neighborhood but they cannot legally prohibit it (to my knowledge.)
