Can a superior court subpoena and can I ignore it?

There is a process to subpoena you from Texas. The DA or defense attorney must get your appearance ordered by a Texas Court. You would have to talk to a Texas Lawyer about resisting the California Subpoena. However, I would contact the lawyer who subpoenaed you. That person will probably be reasonable. Usually, if there is a health matter you could get a letter from your doctor about restrictions on travel. Maybe your appearance could be delayed for months for you to recover, depending on what the doctor says. You may also be able to get the California lawyer to order travel fees and costs be paid.

What can I do if I got a ticket for driving with a suspended license?

Answered by attorney Joseph Briscoe Dane (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Office of Joe Dane
If you did not contest the DMV suspension of your license within 10 days of your arrest, they suspended your license. Until you jump through their hoops to get it reinstated, it will remain suspended. You're likely looking at a violation of 14601.5. There are fines, but typically jail time is not imposed on a first offense, although it carries a possible maximum of 6 months in county jail. If you don't already have an attorney for your DUI case, I'd start looking for one to handle both cases for you.

What happens if I missed 2 court appearances?

Answered by attorney Thomas J. Ogas
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Office of Thomas J. Ogas
The court will give you a higher fine to pay for missing court once you decide to go back to court to pay for them. And the DMV may not renew your license if you dont get those tickets paid off.
