Can I have charges that I was never convicted for or even tried for expunged? As if it never happened?

Scott Glen Cerbin
Answered by attorney Scott Glen Cerbin (Unclaimed Profile)

You can have an arrest expunged under very limited circumstances e.g. not person named in arrest warrant.  You would need to talk to an attorney about the specifics of your case.

What should I do if the police want to speak about fraud?

Answered by attorney Gabriel Eric Dorman (Unclaimed Profile)

Your concerns are warranted. You should never go talk to the police without first consulting with and/or hiring a criminal attorney to represent you. It is unclear from your question whether you are being investigated for a crime or you are a potential witnesses. In any case, the prudent thing to do is protect yourself and hire an experienced criminal defense attorney. I hope this answer was helpful.

What are my options if I was accused by a patient of stealing her pain meds and am I obligated the investigator wants me to come in for interview?

Your options are to cooperate with the investigation and speak with the investigator and anyone else involved or don't. It may be worth your while to consult with a criminal defense attorney NOW, even if it will cost you some money, rather than wait until you are arrested and charged with a crime to hire a lawyer. At this time I would not speak to anyone about the matter until you've consulted with a criminal defense attorney.
