What rights I have as a sister

Answered by attorney Patrick Short
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Firm of Patrick Short
Your question raises numerous legal issues and it is important that you consult with an attorney to determine if there could be a recovery on behalf of the estate of your brother.  Liability issues as well as whether there was adequate security and whether they were trained properly among other potential causes of action.  Due to the nature of your legal questions, I would encourage you to discuss this in the office of an attorney so you can have your questions answered.  I'm sorry for the loss of your brother. In most counties the defendant is not provided representation in FFJ (fugitive from justice) cases. He should hire his own attorney.

What is the punishment for fraud in Texas?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
The only way you are not going to jail is by hiring an attorney. Fraud is a felony. At least 2 years in prison and up to 20 depending on the amount. A good lawyer will be able to tell your side of things. It is an absolute must that you hire the best lawyer you can afford.
