It depends upon a number of things as to what is coming up in 2 days. We usually have pre-trials. A defendant in a case cannot be forced to testify.

Can a cop tell me that I can’t talk to my spouse?

Answered by attorney Jason William Savela
Criminal Law lawyer at The Savela Law Firm, P.C.
Cops can ask you to do things, but without a court order they cannot prevent you from talking with your husband. You do not have to talk to the police either.

What will happen if I am not physically able to go to jail?

Answered by attorney Jason William Savela
Criminal Law lawyer at The Savela Law Firm, P.C.
If the jail does not want you bc you would be too difficult to manage, they may tell the judge that you should not be there. BUT, that is unlikely. At sentencing, you should be prepared with letters from doctors detailing why you cannot go to jail. Even then, it is unlikely the judge will vary from jail if that is what is deemed necessary. There are many people in prison with extraordinarily debilitating conditions. Some are housed in hospital wards.
