Can the police stop that kid on the street for attempted robbery, search him and arrest him?

Answered by attorney Lawrence Thomas Lewis (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Lawrence Lewis, P.C.
First, the police can stop, detain and arrest, especially if there is a clothing description, or there are few people on the streets at the time. Second, if the victim does not appear all charges will be dismissed. If victim resides locally, they will be there. How do I know? Because attempted robbery victims come to court.

This is not a criminal defense question. Yes, she could sue you for conversion, but the chances of that are very slim. Be sure to tell her if you ever plan on borrowing her car again.

Yes, because you were supposed to work off your charges by providing names. You can be charged anytime within the statute of limitations.
