Hire a good criminal defense lawyer. There be things that can be done through Craigslist to show you response to the ad. I am a former federal and State prosecutor and now handle criminal defense.

What is a global plea?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Jonathan A. Baner (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Baner and Baner Law Firm
There is no "global plea" definition because it is not a legal term. It is just a way of stating that you're looking to make an agreement across multiple cases. So say that someone is charged with DUI in Pierce district, and assault 2 in Pierce Superior court, and has a traffic infraction in Yakima and for some unknown and strange weird reason a prosecutor is willing to take a plea for two of them and drop the third, or plead for all three but on reduced for all three. Basically, it's like when the car dealership states "drive, drag, or haul in your old car and we'll give you $3,000 even if its on fire with an angry clown inside when you buy a new car." Specifically, that the parties are willing to cut a deal across multiple cases/crimes but it has to be done all together instead of piecemeal.

How do I avoid jail after stealing a credit card?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Brad Alan Howell (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Meadows & Howell, LLC
If your ex-boyfriend decides to press charges regarding your actions, then you will have to appear in court for any criminal and/or civil charges that he brings. Even if charges are brought and you are convicted, you may not actually spend time in jail, depending upon whether you were able to obtain a plea bargain, or otherwise had the minimum punishment enforced. If he does not plan on bringing charges, then there should be no reason that the authorities would be aware of the situation. If this is the case, then you should attempt to work out something with your ex-boyfriend, such as paying him back for the debt that was accrued in his name; the situation doesn't necessarily have to be handled by him bringing criminal charges.
