Is it correct for them to charge my mother for a crime she did not commit although it is her responsibility?

She was supposed to make a deposit, and the money disappeared. So, she is responsible. I would love to hear why she did not make the deposit herself, when the person did not arrive. It is correct that she be charged.

What to expect at trial is a function of the quality of your attorney. I know if you lose on your third domestic assault, you are going to jail.

You Should should thoroughly consult a lawyer regarding your situation. Under no circumstances should you speak with the detectives before doing so. Most likely, your attorney will want to contact the detective, to find out why the detective want to speak with you, and to inform the detective that you are represented by counsel and that the detective should not speak with you.
