If you fail a drug test, how many days does the probation officer have to give you to be clean?

Answered by attorney Lawrence Thomas Lewis (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Lawrence Lewis, P.C.
Zero, the probation officer does not have to give you any days, unless it is the first drug test you are taking within 30 days of disposition of the case in court. In that case where you entered a plea in court and 14 days later you failed a drug test, the probation officer would typically give you another three weeks. With drug tests, you do not just test positive, there is also a way to see IF the drugs in your system are increasing or decreasing.

Is it possible to beat a charge where the evidence is found in your porch?

Cynthia Russell Henley
Answered by attorney Cynthia Russell Henley (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Cynthia Henley
In general, yes. You need a good lawyer, though. Your lawyer will determine if there are any connections to you such as fingerprints; testimony of others that say you possessed the drugs; testimony of others who say that this is the way you do business; can you take and pass a drug test; etc.? The veracity of the snitch will need to be investigated.

Is it illegal for a bank to fingerprint a minor without parental consent?

Why? Is it the standard practice for people cashing checks at the bank? I don't understand the problem.
