What should I do if there is a warrant for my arrest for using a credit card?

Answered by attorney Jared Altman (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Office of Jared Altman
I'm not exactly sure what happened because only a judge can sign a warrant. I guess you mean that she's pressing charges. You need a lawyer. It would help if you could show that you had used the card in the past with no complaint by her.

How long can charges be held on someone for theft of 2 firearms in Liberty County Texas before it is brought before the Grand Jury or dismissed?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
Statute of limitations is two years to file a charge. And there is no remedy if everything is dismissed. It's called sovereign immunity. Unless someone was lying and you can prove it.

Am I criminally liable for the fraud committed by another person?

Answered by attorney Jason William Savela
Criminal Law lawyer at The Savela Law Firm, P.C.
If you knew he was stealing to give you these things, you can be charged. If you had no idea that any theft or fraud was going on until now, it is difficult to say you are a criminal. But - cops like to threaten and sometime charge in these situations. You do not have to talk with them at all. You are allowed to have an attorney. I would tell them to pound sand.
