The police addressed me with a warrant for theft by check, I was told to turn myself in, do I have to?

Your choices are to post a cash bond for the full amount of the bond and get it back after the case is over, post a bond through a bondsman paying a percentage that you won't get back, or go to jail. You will also have to hire a lawyer. You might be able to work out the case for a dismissal upon full restitution.

Can you be charged for this?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
Just be quiet from now on. Do not talk to anymore police or EMTs or anyone for that matter. If you get arrested, hire an attorney. LSD is a felony with seirous consequences. But 3 weeks is a long time to not file charges, so you make have gotten REAL lucky.

Can i work in the law field with a misdemeanor

Answered by attorney William R. Pelger

have an attorney get your criminal history before you do anything. when charges are dropped the arrest record still stays, which you can expunge.  many people out there have an arrest record they can expunge.
