Answered by attorney Lucio Antonio Montes (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at The Montes Law Firm
The warrants are for class C misdemeanors such as a traffic tickets. Contact a criminal defense attorney that specializes in class C misdemeanors, they deal in volume and tend to offer reasonable fees. If it is not you, then you definitely should contact the municipal court to clear up the mistake.

The police addressed me with a warrant for theft by check, I was told to turn myself in, do I have to?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
Unfortunately the police have no control over the warrants. If you have a warrant then you need to call a bail bondsman and pay off the warrant. You will then get a court case and you should absolutely hire the best attorney you can afford for the theft case.
