Why is it okay for a police officer to lie on a report and I be held accountable for his lies which could lead to me being convited of a Felony

Answered by attorney Patrick Short
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Firm of Patrick Short
I would encourage you to please not go into details on the internet or social media regarding your case.  The court has apparantly appointed you an attorney and you should consult with the attorney regarding your questions.  Your attorney will be very concerned about you communicating in any manner that could create a breach of the attorney-client priviledge.  You can speak to your attorney and your communications are prviledged.  But, if you talk to others who are not working for your attorney, you run the risk of having what you say, be used in your case.  So, please speak to your attorney about this situation.   Patrick Short

Is it possible to keep employers form seeing my felony?

Answered by attorney Michael L. Aaronson
Criminal Law lawyer at Aaronson Law Firm
If your felony conviction is a matter of public record, or available to the employer through whatever means he has to obtain such information, then you will not be able to prevent him from discovering the conviction. You may want to consult an attorney about the possibility of getting an expunction to erase the conviction, which is usually quite difficult when you're dealing with felonies because the circumstances under which expunction are granted are very limited.
