What charges does a person face for breaking in and entering an unlocked room?

Yeah! The whole story is a defense. If the door wasn't locked and the person responsible for logging people in wasn't there (drunk? skipped out? etc.) where's the fault? This would be fun!

Can I have a name change with a criminal history?

It will. And the charges and arrests that you have under the old name will follow you with the new name, because the name does not have the charges, you have the charges.

Can someone be sued for using another’s name after committing a crime?

Answered by attorney Stephen Lewis Freeborn (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Freeborn Law Offices P.S.
Since you don't tell me anything about your past, regardless of this individual, I can assume that your past may be coming back to haunt you. If this person who sued you is in jail,, he is probably judgment proof, so what good would it be to sue him? Waste of money. If his picture comes up with your name, people are going to know it's not you.
