I go to court for my initial hearing for battery charges tomorrow but I haven’t been arrested will they arrest me tomorrow?

Answered by attorney Lawrence Thomas Lewis (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Lawrence Lewis, P.C.
IF the hearing date requires the appearance of witnesses that show up and testify against you, you will definitely be arrested. Otherwise, I am unsure. You need to go to the hearing with an attorney.

Can I be charged with attempt to purchase drugs?

Answered by attorney John Wood Bussman (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at The Law Offices of John W. Bussman
Legally or realistically? Of course, it is a crime to attempt to commit a crime. This means that, technically, you could be arrested for offering to buy mushrooms. Realistically, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. No offense, but you are an extremely "small fish". The detectives who work the narcotics bureau are not interested in wasting their time to pursue someone who offered to buy a small amount of drugs for personal use. Their buddies would laugh at them if they did. I wouldn't worry if I were you. Good luck.

What should I do if my ex girlfriend wanted her gift back?

David F. Stoddard
Answered by attorney David F. Stoddard (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at The David F. Stoddard Law Firm
Legally, you are not required to do anything. When someone makes a gift, the gift becomes your property. But you didn't ask me what your legal rights are. You asked me what you should do. If she is making payments on these items and your two broke up, morally I think you should give them to her (that is if she gave them to you before you broke up).
