Should I press charges on the person that pushed my 6 year old?

Answered by attorney Michael L. Aaronson
Criminal Law lawyer at Aaronson Law Firm
The choice is yours and you probably have two years from the date of the incident. You could probably charge the gentleman with both criminal and civil charges, the difference being that criminal charges would involve him being charged with a criminal offense for which punishment would be, potentially, jail time or probation. A civil charge would involve a request that he be liable to pay money for any damages sustained by your son.

Can the law legally withhold the medication he NEEDS to survive?

Criminal Law lawyer at Lawrence Lewis, P.C.
He probably will NOT die without method done, he will just be ill. Therefore, the jail can withhold the medication. Retain an attorney to argue that he legally needs it.

What happens if I do not report to my probation officer?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
You need to hire an attorney for the Motion to Revoke Probation and then that attorney can help turn him in if that's the right move. He absolutely needs to comply with all other terms of his probation and go to the next meeting. Call the probation officer and explain why you missed. Actually, hire an attorney first so they can advise you properly based on the County, Court and his history.
