Is it illegal to ask my boyfriend's accuser (the super of my building) if he could drop the charges against him?

Answered by attorney Stephen Lewis Freeborn (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Freeborn Law Offices P.S.
Yes, its illegal. That is tampering with a witness. In any event, the accuser does not have the authority to drop the charges. Only the prosecutor can agree to do that. Don't speak with this person, especially if there is a no contact order.

Can I carry a gun if I am on probation for a DUI misdemeanor charge?

Answered by attorney John F Brennan (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Musilli Brennan Associates, PLLC
Your question is not specific enough to answer, are you speaking of a concealed weapon, or an open carry. Additionally, it would be necessary to look into the actual charges which you are on probation for and of the terms of your probationary release. I would suggest that you call an attorney order to speak to the one who provided you your DUI defense.

If I didn’t do sexual assault to a child that happen 6 years ago, can I still go to jail?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
The statute doesn't start running until the outcry, so it doesn't matter that it was 6 years ago. This is the most serious charge. You need to hire a sexual assault trial lawyer and fight this with everything you have.
