What will happen if someone got a DWI in my car?

Cynthia Russell Henley
Answered by attorney Cynthia Russell Henley (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Cynthia Henley
What do you mean held responsible? You cannot be held criminally responsible. You can be held civilly responsible MAYBE if you knew he was going to be drinking or you had good reason to believe he would be drinking under some kind of negligent entrustment claim.

How long can you be kept in county jail if you violate probation?

Answered by attorney Terry Alan Nelson (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Nelson & Lawless
Ultimately, for the length of the original sentence. Immediately, it is a criminal charge that requires you be brought to court for arraignment on the probation violation within 3 court days, not counting weekends and holidays. If serious about hiring counsel to help in this, and if this is in SoCal courts, feel free to contact me.

What happens if I get pulled over and have a suspended license?

Leonard D. Harden
Answered by attorney Leonard D. Harden (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Harden Law Office
You will likely be arrested. If the suspension is for a DWI you would be subjected to mandatory jail if convicted. The offense is a violation level matter so the intent is not technically required, but most judge's will require that actual notice of the suspension be provided to you. You should consult with a lawyer.
