Can I own a registered gun although my husband is a convicted felon of drug possession?

Answered by attorney Aaron Michael Black
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Office of Aaron M. Black, PLLC
Probably not. Unless he reinstated his gun rights he is probably still a prohibited possessor. I would not keep a gun in the house until he is sure he has his gun rights restored.

How much will it cost to remove a class b misdemeanor off my record?

Cynthia Russell Henley
Answered by attorney Cynthia Russell Henley (Unclaimed Profile)

Not quite sure what you are asking. If are saying it is a pending case, then clear your license so you can get it back. Many times prosecutors will dismiss if that is done. If you are already convicted, you cannot get it off your record. If you received deferred and successfully completed it, then you can move to seal it. If the case is dismissed, you can file a lawsuit in civil district court to expunge your record.

How long does the filing of charges take for a DUI?

Cynthia Russell Henley
Answered by attorney Cynthia Russell Henley (Unclaimed Profile)

There is no time limit. Once you have been arrested, the charges are filed. You should get a lawyer to represent you immediately because there are some time limits with regard to driver's license matters. The amount of time that it takes for the case to get into the court varies county to county; by arresting agency; based on the types of evidence (because blood takes longer); and the level of offense - felony v. misdemeanor. The statute of limitations is tolled while the charge is pending and you are on bond.
