You should turn the matter over to your apartment or home-owners insurer. If you do not have insurance, you need a civil/commercial defense litigation attorney.

Can a police officer ask me for my license if I was caught with someone who is not allowed to be around women?

A police officer can always identify people on a scene. If you did not give your driver's license, then he could ask for the information and your refusal to give it could be an offense called failure to identify to a police officer.

WHY DOES MY APPOINTED LAWYER WANT ME TO TAKE A DEAL FOR SOMETHING I DIDNT DO?

Richard Keith Oliver
Answered by attorney Richard Keith Oliver (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at The Law Office of Rick Oliver
The decison of whether to accept or reject a plea offer is yours and yours alone. Your attorney cannot "force" you to take a plea. I wouldn't venture to guess at why he or she wants you to take the offer, without having an opportunity to review the evidence the state does or does not have. If you don't want to take the advice of your appointed lawyer, your only option is to hire a different attorney who will be willing to set the case for trial.
