If I have been charged with felony larceny with no prior convictions, can I plea to a lesser charge?

Larceny is not a Texas offense. If you are charged with theft, your lawyer may be able to plea bargain for a lesser offense - especially if you make restitution up front.

No o knows. You will be arrested in the warrant, and hopefully make bond. After that, everything will depend on the evidence and the ability of your attorney.

What are the charges if a minor was caught shoplifting?

Gregory Casale
Answered by attorney Gregory Casale (Unclaimed Profile)

If you are 17, you are an adult for the purposes of the court. A 1st offense shoplifting charge carries a fine for maximum punishment. However, it is not that sentence that you should be concerned about, it should be having a criminal record. A criminal record could cause you difficulties in all sorts of areas later in life, such as employment, education, etc. Hire a lawyer if you have a clean record and want to maintain it.
