If someone took some jewelry while visiting a family member for the weekend and then pawned it a couple weeks later, what would the charges be?

That sounds like a larceny in a building charge which is a four-year felony. However, if a defendant has no prior criminal history, they may be willing to reduce it to a misdemeanor. Jail is probably unlikely but still possible.

If I am accused of stealing and I can bring the person who stole it to court, what will happen to my case?

IF you bring the "real" thief, the real thief will then need to admit they are the thief, and that you knew nothing about the crime, then you might have charges dismissed against you.

What can I expect concerning punishment/fines for a second time theft?

Sounds like shop lift, which is a gross misdemeanor, punishable by up to a year in jail and a $5000.00 fine. The amount and the fact that the store got the merchandise back does not lessen the crime. There is no mandatory minimum jail time, so the judge can impose what ever he or she desires, up to the maximum, depending upon the facts f thre case and your criminal history. Having a prior is not favorable.
