Does my father need an attorney if he was accused of stealing on the job?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
No, he needs his own criminal lawyer. And he absolutely should hire the best he can afford. Theft is very serious and could prevent him from ever having a good job again.

What should I plea for misdemeanor?

Cynthia Russell Henley

If you cannot hire a lawyer, you want to get nothing more than a deferred disposition which is a reset with conditions. If you fulfill the conditions and do as instructed, the case will be dismissed and you can later expunge it completely from your record.

No, sounds like convictions. But if it was deferred adjudication probation then maybe it can be sealed.
