Does it matter when I turn myself in for violation?

Answered by attorney Laurie A. Schmidt
Criminal Law lawyer at 5280 Law Group
It depends on the jurisdiction in which the offense is located. Generally courts do not reward you for waiting. Plus, you will always be looking over your shoulder, retain an attorney and take care of this matter sooner rather than later.

What happens when you violate probation for a misdemeanor drug charge?

Jared Clayton Austin
Answered by attorney Jared Clayton Austin (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Austin Legal Services, PLC
There is no blanket answer for this question as the outcome depends on a variety of factors: is it his first violation, what his PO will recommend, who the judge is and how likely he is to follow the PO's recommendations, etc. He could be sentenced to jail, more probation, or just a reprimand. His PO should be able to tell him what is likely to happen.

Is this a real question? What the hell are you talking about? Get an attorney, because you make absolutely no sense.
