How long does the state have to press charges?

The state has about a month to file an information. More facts are needed in order to answer your question more fully. The arrest starts the procedure going, it goes to the state attorney who files an information charging him with the crime. That usually takes over a week, sometimes more, sometimes less. If he has been in jail since, over 30 days have passed, and the state has not filed an information, he should get an aggressive criminal defense attorney in Orlando to fight the case.

Will I serve jail time if I’m only 17 and charged with two felony 3's?

Your question requires an attorney consultation. It is not a simple question that can be answered on this type of forum. There are many factors that would need to be considered and evaluated. I strongly suggest that you contact an experienced criminal defense attorney for a face-to-face consultation and give him/her all of the facts surrounding your situation. He/she would then be in a better position to analyze your case and advise you of your options.

What is the worst scenario if I don’t turn myself in today and do it on Monday instead?

You stay in longer when you go in, because you like doing things your way: (1), You committed an offense; (2), After getting probation, the probation officer has determined that you violated probation; (3), when told to turn yourself in, you determine when you are going to go in. I predict.
