How do I avoid jail after stealing a credit card?

Answered by attorney Joseph Briscoe Dane (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Office of Joe Dane
I'm missing something. Are charges filed against you? If so, you get a lawyer ASAP. You're not describing the crime of the century, but you'll still need a lawyer to navigate through this with the best possible outcome. If you're just talking from a moral sense and wondering how to make this right... if you admit to him what you did, even if you pay him back, you could be admitting a crime and making it worse for yourself. I'd strongly suggest sitting down face to face with a local criminal defense attorney to discuss this in greater detail. Most offer free consultations. From there, you can decide how to proceed.

Can a home be searched without a search warrant?

Leonard D. Harden

Criminal Law lawyer at Harden Law Office
Yes home may legally be searched in certain situations: consent, emergency, pursuit of a felon. The underlying facts will really decide legality.

What happens if I accidentally missed a court date for a DUI?

Gregory Casale
Answered by attorney Gregory Casale (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Gregory Casale, Attorney at Law
Go to the court as soon as possible and turn yourself in. There is most likely a warrant for your arrest. You should have an attorney for an OUI/DUI. Make sure your attorney appears with you when you turn yourself in so they don't hold you on bail.
