What can I do if I was issued a warrant for theft by deception because someone used my information to do the crime?

If a warrant for your arrest has been issued, you would not be receiving an email informing you of this. Instead you would either get a visit from local law enforcement or a letter from either local law enforcement, the District Attorney's Office or the courts advising you that a criminal complaint has been filed against you. This sounds more like a scam than anything else. However, to be on the safe side and to prepare yourself for the worse, I would suggest that you contact an experienced criminal defense attorney for a face-to-face consultation and give him/her all of the facts surrounding your situation. (S)he would then be in a better position to analyze your case and advise you of your options.

Must a probation sentence be disclosed on job application for California University?

Answered by attorney Charles Richard Perry (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Charles R. Perry
If the conviction has been dismissed or expunged pursuant to PC 1203.4, then there is no conviction on your record and you can answer the question in the negative. You should carefully review what happened in the criminal action against you, however, so that you know for sure what happened there. If the conviction was not dismissed or expunged, then you must disclose it on the application. Best of luck to you.

What is the statute of limitations for a felony drug?

Answered by attorney Edward Jerome Blum (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Office of Edward J. Blum
Statute of limitations has to do with the state filing. If they already filed the warrant lasts for ever. The upside is the longer you stay away the more likely to get it dismissed based on Serna Doggett.
