How much jail tine will I be getting if I am currently getting charged with a felony 2 unlawful contact with a minor?

Answered by attorney Jason William Savela
Criminal Law lawyer at The Savela Law Firm, P.C.
F2 sexual cases with minors often result in prison for the rest of your life I suspect you are mistaken about the plea level. If you do not know, your attorney is not doing his/her job. Set an appointment with him/her and discuss prior to sentencing. It is much harder to fix after sentencing than before - make sure you know what you are doing.

No governmental entity keeps such records. Lawyers may keep their own record s of such things - but be careful of statistics like that as what can be called a "win" may vary from lawyer to lawyer and case to case. (As an example, if a person is charged with DUI but gets convicted of DWAI, the less serious offense, is that a "win"? It depends ont he situation and the person interpreting that).

Can I be convicted of possession of a controlled substance if it was found in a residence in which I share a lease?

Jared Clayton Austin
Answered by attorney Jared Clayton Austin (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Austin Legal Services, PLC
You could be convicted if the judge or jury believe you were in constructive possession of the drugs. That means that you knew where they were and had reasonable access to it. It is not uncommon for charges to be brought against everyone in a household or vehicle where drugs are found. You need an aggressive and experienced criminal defense attorney that regularly handles drug crimes representing you.
