You have a warrant out for your arrest. You should speak to your criminal defense attorney and your bonding company, if you have one. Hopefully they can help you get a new court date without getting arrested.

Is there a statute of limitations for licenses if I'm moving between states and surrendering my license each time I get a new one?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
Texas can suspend your license until you pay their fees. Technically Florida should follow Texas' lead and not give you a license either, but they were too over worked to check and follow up. If you want to drive in Texas, gotta take care of your surcharges.

In a family violence case, if the offender has completed the anger management classes that the judge ordered what happens next?

Cynthia Russell Henley

It is unclear your case status. The judge does not control the charge or reductions - the prosecutor does. Did you already plead guilty or are you taking the class on an agreement from the prosecutor to dismiss or on the hope of a dismissal. If you don't have an agreement then you nor your lawyer can force a dismissal. Sounds like it is time to get a second opinion.
